The hunting lodge Schachen was one of the most beautiful places of refuge for King Ludwig II. The wooden upright building looking like a Swiss Chalet is located above Garmisch-Partenkirchen submontane the Dreitorspitze. It was built between 1869 to 1872.
June to the beginning of October guided tours daily :
11.00am,
1.00pm, 2.00pm, 3.00pm and upon request.
